John Denver is a popular singer and songwriter who has touched many people with his songs. Many of these were inspired by Colorado. Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. was born in Roswell New Mexico. He fell in love Colorado. He eventually settled in Aspen. Many people traveled to Colorado following the Denver's cult tunes for the state he was raised in. G. Brown, curator of Colorado Music Hall of Fame stated it was because John Denver is the only performer to embody Colorado. Denver was the very first Hall of Fame inductee in the year 2011. Today he personifies the state for people worldwide. In my travels I've had the pleasure of meeting individuals from New Zealand or the other side. If you inform that you're from Colorado the first words they say are Oh John Denver. Brown said. Take Me Home Country Roads was Denver's top 10 hit after performing with small folk music bands. It was co-written and performed by Bill Danoff. Danoff wrote the track to Johnny Cash but Denver recognized its potential the moment he heard it for the first time. Following the performance on stage in Washington D.C. to a large audience, Denver released the song a couple of days later.
